Steve Crutchfield, FOUNDING PARTNER
Steve is a highly regarded general contractor in central Marin with many notable projects throughout the county over the past 25 years. He oversees all our construction projects and estimates.
Steve has always been handy. As a young boy, he loved to build things. It wasn’t until after graduating from Chico State with a business degree that he decided his career path to be designing and building. He continued his education by taking construction management classes at UCSD.
After two years as a project manager working on custom homes in La Jolla, Steve felt the pull of Northern California once more. Steve has made Marin his home since 1990. He worked for custom home builders and designers, taking night classes in Architecture at College of Marin until he started True North Construction in 1993. Unlike most general contractors, Steve has a rare combination of technical and management ability balanced with an understanding and passion for design.
Central Marin is Steve’s home, having lived in and around Larkspur since his arrival. Steve enjoys the mellow energy, the small-town feel and natural beauty of Marin. This is his True North.
